The Ministry Training Network (MTN) of Southeastern New England was born in 2003 because a handful of Rhode Island area pastors realized a need for college-level training in Bible, theology, and ministry skills on the part of many who aspired to leadership in their churches. Most of these individuals were in the midst of careers and raising families and could not take time to go away to be trained. Consequently, we are a network of local evangelical churches working together to provide leadership training for local church-based ministry. The Board of Directors is made up of pastors and leaders from area churches who share this vision. Pastor John currently serves as the President of MTN. If you would like further information or the courses they offer, please visit their web site at ministrytrainingnetwork.org.
We are affiliated with Southern New England Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God. The Assemblies of God was formed in 1914 with the ideals of evangelizing the world, teaching believers the whole gospel, meeting the needs of hurting people, and recognizing the sovereignty of the local church leading people to worship and serve. While the methods of achieving these ideals may have changed, the message has remained the same. For further information about the Assemblies, we invite you to visit the national web site at www.ag.org or the local Ministry Network web site at www.sneministrynetwork.org.
|TOGETHER|, formerly known as LoveRI, is a movement of churches in Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts that is devoted to actively loving our communities and the individuals in them and to sharing the message of Jesus Christ. The churches of this movement commit to pray and work together so that southeastern New England churches, individually, congregationally, and cooperatively, practice a lifestyle of praying, caring, and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.
